Shipping Policy – Northaxis Freight LLC

This Shipping Policy explains how vehicle transport is arranged and managed by Northaxis Freight LLC (“Northaxis Freight,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking with us or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Service Overview

  • Northaxis Freight is an auto transport broker, arranging shipments with vetted, insured carriers.
  • We do not own or operate trucks; we coordinate transportation between customers and carriers.

2. Coverage and Service Area

  • Nationwide coverage across the contiguous United States.
  • Door-to-door service provided where legally and safely accessible; otherwise, pickup/delivery occurs at a nearby safe location (e.g., large parking lot).

3. Scheduling & Timeframes

  • Pickup windows are typically 1–5 business days from booking.
  • Transit times vary by route:

    • Cross-country (2,000+ miles): 7–10 days
  • All dates are estimates and may change due to weather, traffic, or mechanical delays.

4. Vehicle Requirements

  • Vehicle must be operable unless declared non-running (additional fees apply).
  • Fuel level must be at least ¼ tank for loading/unloading.
  • Personal belongings should be removed; carriers are not liable for items left inside.

5. Open vs. Enclosed Transport

  • Customers may choose open transport (standard) or enclosed transport (premium protection for luxury/classic vehicles).
  • Quotes reflect the selected transport type; changes must be requested prior to dispatch.

6. Insurance & Liability

  • All carriers contracted are fully insured per federal regulations.
  • Insurance covers physical damage during transport but does not cover personal items left in the vehicle.
  • Damage claims must be noted on the Bill of Lading upon delivery and filed directly with the carrier.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup/delivery details and vehicle information.
  • Be available (or designate an agent) for both pickup and delivery.
  • Inspect the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading at both pickup and delivery.

8. Cancellations & Reschedules

  • Cancellations before carrier assignment may receive a refund minus administrative fees.
  • Cancellations after carrier assignment may incur non-refundable dispatch fees.
  • Rescheduling is subject to carrier availability and may affect pricing.

9. Prohibited Items

  • No hazardous materials, firearms, illegal substances, or items exceeding weight limits may be transported in the vehicle.
